Hosted in the historic town of Drogheda on Saturday 29th August 2020, the ŠKODA Tour de Boyne Valley promises to be a great day out in Ireland’s Ancient East. This is new sportive organised by Drogheda Wheelers Cycling Club and is an event for cyclists organised by cyclists who will bring you into the best of what the Boyne Valley area has on offer. The 2019 event attracted 1500 cyclists in its second year.
From coast, the Ancient East sites and epic countryside this has it all. The routes bring you by the coastline and then some of Ireland’s most internationally known sites. This is where legends will be made!
The routes will bring cyclists along some of the best cycling routes in Louth and Meath passing through the famous Boyne Valley. Cyclists will head out the coast road first of all heading north of Drogheda through Termofeckin and the seaside summer resort of Clogherhead before heading inland. The event will then pass some of Boyne Valley’s historic monuments while offering a great day out on the bike in the birthplace of Ireland’s Ancient East.
